At The Community at Lake Ridge we are passionate about helping build strong families. God designed the family to be the place where couples find oneness (…the two will become one… Genesis 2:24 ) and where children discover and embrace a genuine lifelong faith (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 ). Therefore at TCAL, we are intentional about building up the home and those who live in it.
WE ARE BOLD ENOUGH AT TCAL TO BELIEVE THAT:
… AS A HOME OF ONE (single) you can enjoy your singleness fulfilled with God being EVERYTHING you need. Completeness is found in God, not in a spouse, and whether you are called to be single or destined to be married, we want to help you discover peace and contentment while being prepared for what God has in store ahead.
… AS A MARRIED COUPLE you can experience the joy of a thriving strong marriage. This is God’s plan and we want to help you know how to make it through the challenges of life, and protect this most important relationship.
… AS PARENTS you can successfully be the primary influencer in your child’s faith as God has called you to. God’s plan is for the family to be the place where faith was passed on from generation to generation. This is your number one priority assignment as a parent, and yet so many parents fill ill-equipped. We want to come along side to equip and encourage you, and then to partner with you as together we help the next generation to have a real lifelong authentic faith.
HomePointe presently has many helpful resources available at our HomePointe Center each Sunday. Come check it out and connect with one of our hosts about how we can help you. Then look for many things to come from HomePointe as we continue to provide more resources to help build the home. Come back and visit our web page soon as we will have more resources coming online. We are here to help all of us become intentional about building a God-honoring home one step at a time.
God’s call to parents…
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.
